I did a quick search for 2010 and didn't find anything, so here goes.
I've been away from BIAB for a while. I remember in the past that PG Music would release a new version of BIAB around Christmas. Are there any plans for a BIAB 2010? What new and wonderful features can be expected? Thanks.
(Still having fun with BIAB 2007 but I'm considering 2009.5...)

You won't find anything, true enough.
If the past form holds, PG Music will release a new version around the beginning of December. But past performance is no guarantee, and PG Music does not pre-announce new releases. The beta testers promise not to reveal anything as well, so you won't know from us until after the next version is released.
One thing is for certain, you will enjoy many new features when you upgrade from 2007.

Hi.
The policy of not announcing releases is a problem because I wish to know if I can upgrade now, close to a new version, and receive a free upgrade to the new version. If I can't, I'll wait to spend my money and only buy if I have some to spend later. If I *can* get a free upgrade to the new version (from version 12) then I'll spend my money right away.
So, is there some compromise that can be found here? I'd like to buy today.
What is your policy on this?

Get the ultra plus pak now for $399. If and when it comes out at Christmas the upgrade will probably be reasonable and I'm sure they'll a lot more features and RT. The first time always hurts a little but you've got to start somewhere. Think of all the money you'd save if you waited 5 more years to get it! Get my point? You won't be sorry.

I plan on upgrading to Pro only because I create my own styles, etc.

Call PG Music sales. Ask them what their policy would be if you buy now and a new version comes out within 30 days.

I'm currently on my sixth version or so of BiAB and never recall ever receciving a "free upgrade" to a newer version.
There has always been $$$ involved.

But did you upgrade within 30 days of a new version coming out, and still have to pay in full for both? That's what hamiltondonalde wants to know.

Were any of my purchases within 30 days of a new release?
I don't remember and would have little way of knowing ... unless PGMusic had such a policy and came back to me and said "hey, we just upgraded."
As you said Matt, whether or not PG actually has such a 30-day policy is their call.

We've witnessed examples of PGMusic making good on sales that were within a reasonable time of a new release right here on this forum. So it has indeed happened.

Yes, we have a 30-day policy on that. Its part of our, no questions asked, 30-day money back guarantee.
In the case of a new version, within 30 days, you don't have to acually return the software, we just send you the new version "as if" you had purchased it on the current day.

As a first time user I purchased BIAB Pro+RealBand 2009 on 26th October 2009 from a UK supplier at a cost of £101.95 approx 162 us dollars. BIAB2010 is released weeks later and an upgrade,if I decide to get it, will bring my total cost for BIAB2010Pro to 211 us dollars !!!
A costly exercise in learning.
