Hi there, I have a couple of proposals that I think would really make the Stylepicker window much more useful.
Firstly, instead of having something in the bottom left of the screen that looks a little bit like the mixer but is pretty non-functional, why not have an instance of the actual mixer? One of the main reasons that I drop out from the Stylepicker view and back to the chordsheet is so that I can see what the style sounds like with one or two of the tracks muted. If I had the actual mixer right there in the Stylepicker window then I wouldn't need to leave the Stylepicker to do this.
Secondly - why not use some of the dead 'white space' at the bottome right of the screen to display a thumbnail view of the chordsheet? That way you can see what chords are playing in the demo songs and also when the style transitions from the A substyle to the B substyle. (being able to double click on thumbnail like on the real chordsheet to play from a particular point would be even better!).
I have attached a mock-up image of what the revised screen might look like.
I would really appreciate it if you could give one or both of these suggestions your attention.

Hmmm, I actually am not too keen on this idea. First, some folks may be using a smaller monitor so that white space you are seeing may not even be available to them. Second, this window is already pretty complicated and, for me, is sluggish for scrolling so more active components will only make it worse. Finally, BIAB already suffers from every-square-inch-is-packed-full-itis so adding more just makes this worse.
I believe there is an existing Wish List item regarding the "mixer" portion of this window. As for JJJ's concerns, perhaps that bottom portion of the window (and including the "thumbnail" idea) could be toggled On/Off with a keystroke sequence, similar to the CTRL+T function in the Chordsheet window.
The other data shown down there could be "spread out" along the bottom, freeing up more space for the styles list.
