I use an sf2 in other midi editors and players that I use a lot. How do I do this with PT or RB?
I'm part of a midi seq international group. One of our engineers created a new sf2 that's borderline remarkable. But cannot figure out how to get it to work with RB/PT.

Hi, You need to load a sf2 compatible VST/DXi softynth onto a Realband track. The sound font is then loaded into this synth. Realband comes with sForzando which will load a single soundfont. Alternatively, VSTSynthFont might be worth looking at. A free version of this used to ship with BIAB/RB (I'm not sure if that's still the case). http://www.synthfont.com/Hope this helps, Noel

You need a SF2 capable VST synth that loads in RB/PT Then once you have that you can load the soundfont into the synth then after that you may need to assign patches to MIDI channels inside the synth Noel's post offers a possible solution for the synth part
