Got a new toy the other day. Very cool sounds for the guitar. Signature click if you're curious.

Good playing, mate, as I expect from you.
That Pod Farm UX2 thingie makes life so easy. Hard part with mine was knuckling down and stopping playing with all the amps and effects

Best advice concerning the use of virtual amplifier simulators I ever got:

"Stick to the models of amps that you KNOW from using the real thing onstage."

Congrats on the new toy!

Merry Christmas!

swanman,

Cool cover - I used to have that Jeff Beck album (remember those?). Written by Stevie Wonder, I believe.

I've been looking at usb "toys", too, and was interested in the UX2. Can you tell us anything about your recording? What software, what was the backing source, etc? If you wouldn't mind, you seem happy with the Line 6 unit - what kind of setup are you using it with?

Again, nice job on the song

I use what I can actually get to work properly. Audacity. I've got a very nice M-Audio sound card and a Shure PG57 mic and a 1990 Les Paul Studio Guitar. The UX2 has "phantom power" . The UX1 doesn't.Running your mic through the UX2 reduces the latency to almost zero. My card needs the phantom power.

The amp for that song is a Line 6 Insane with a Noise Gate and a Rez Synth. Not sure if he still does, but Pat Methaney ( one of my all time favs) used to use a guitar synth with great results. Not sure if he still does. Was all the rage in the mid-lates 90's if memory serves. I'm still experimenting with it to get a sound out of it that isn't so over powering.

Great job man!
Superb playing as usual. Have fun exploring the UX2 (and keep on posting the results)
