Leggo che c'è la versione 2010 di BIAB, presumo con SO in inglese, con aggiornamento in offerta sino a dicembre fine.
Ho la versione 2.009,5 ITA su HD e pongo i dovuti e seguenti Quesiti:
1 °), acquistando l'aggiornamento di un ING 2010 ci sono Problemi con la mia versione attuale?
2 °) Superato il punto precedente, posso tranquillamente caricare il SW 2010 su HD o è Protetto da scrittura?

Non credo esista un problema di protezione, ma eventualmente di spazio.
Io sto' aspettando la versione 2010 su HD, ordinata solo ieri, ma ho notato che le dimensioni dell'HD sono di 160 Giga, contro le 80 di quello che conteneva la 2009, del resto le RealTracks sono molte di più.
In generale io penso tu possa fare quanto indichi, ma se acquisti anche nuove RealTracks dovresti installarle sempre nello stesso HD, e se il tuo non è molto capiente col tempo potresti avere problemi, ho notato che usando parecchio RealTracks e RealDrums lo spazio libero dell'HD diminuisce, evidentemente molti file sono compressi e si espandono all'occorrenza.
Mi sembra esista una funzione che permette di eseguire della manutenzione su questi file, liberando così spazio, ma non ho mai provato a farlo.
Magari si fa avanti qualcuno che ha già sperimentato situazioni analoghe!

Salve a tutti.
Anche io, come Sergio (oh, Sergio, con l'occasione complimenti per il sito!), sono in attesa della versione su HD drive che ho acquistato, ma nel frattempo, visto che c'era la possibilità dell'e-delivery, ho provveduto a scaricare e installare le parti nuove del programma (su indicazione dei programmatori, non occorre scaricare tutto.). Madilupo, per quanto riguarda la possibilità di backup del contenuto dell'HDD, è stato più volte specificato sul forum ufficiale di BIAB, che non c'è alcun problema di backup.
Il vero problema, come giustamente dice Sergio, è che ormai BIAB sta diventando di proporzioni francamente imbarazzanti. In seguito all'installazione di tutto quello che c'è di nuovo in BIAB 2010 ormai la somma delle cartelle di BIAB sfiora i 100 Giga...e scusate se è poco! Per il fututo, infatti, medito, appena mi arriva l'HDD, di provare a far funzionare il programma direttamente da HDD su un PC secondario, e se la cosa va bene, spero di disinstallare tutto sul PC principale, che comincia a essere un pò troppo affollato.
Una piccola dritta, a margine. Ho notato un bug nel programma, che spesso impedisce di caricare le reltracks desiderate (scegli un piano elettrico e invece spunta fuori una tromba). Andate in Opt. - Preferences - Realtracks e de-biffate la voce "Allow Realtracks Substitution based on tempo".
Già segnalato ai programmatori, che mi assicurano provvederanno prossimamente con una patch apposita, ma nel frattempo...

Scusatemi,
quindi volendo potrò scaricare la versione 2010 da internet a disco fisso esterno per poi usarlo normalmente o ci sono procedure particolari da seguire? A parte ovviamente quella di acquisto.

puoi fare tutto quello che vuoi, anche se io consiglierei di gestire tutto su hd esterno, proprio perchè ormai le Realtracks hanno apportato un cambiamento epocale alla gestione del programma e ai risultati, ma proprio per questo, è bene che stiano su un supporto dedicato e non affollato da tanti altri programmi.
Band in a Box, con RealBand, è ormai diventato un pezzo di PC a sè stante.
