What's going on? I installed build 290 and did a style rebuild....and noticed I now have so many styles repeated in the styles listings. I also noticed that I had a total of 7252 styles prior to doing the rebuild. After doing so, it showed as the same number, i.e. 7252. In another thread, someone else reported they had 7338 styles, and I think I recall someone else, in that same thread, saying they did not have anywhere close to that many. Doesn't build 290 add a few more styles? Anyone know what's going on here?

I meant to mention that those counts were coming from folks that supposedly had ALL the styles.

That person would be me.
I'm going to see if I can use another program such as Search or one of the aftermarket searchers to see exactly how many .sty files are in my bb folder and then compare that with the Stylepicker report.
A few versions back, my Stylepicker reported doubles for many of the styles. it was a bug that stayed here for awhile, maybe the whole year, I forget now, but either one of the program patch updates or maybe installation of a new version suddenly frixed it back to rights. Now it seems I may have that one again, don't know yet as I haven't done the latest 290 patch update. Later today.

Windows Search reports that I currently have 3,756 .sty files in my bb folder.
I think maybe ~100-200 of those are custom user styles, not sure.

Mac....notice at the top of your stylepicker window (in the blue bar area), it is reported that you have a total of 7,512 styles which is exactly twice the 3,756 determined by the Windows Search you ran. Wonder what the stylepicker is doing here to get the 7,512 count. It reports that I have 7,252 styles at the top in the blue bar area.
Just a little confusing regarding what is being counted and how....any further insight here as to why the Stylepicker is doing this? I understand where your count came from. I'm sure the explanation is simple....I'm replying back prior to putting much thought into why the stylepicker is reporting twice as many as are really there, so I'm sure the explanation is probably simple.

My Windows Search yielded a count of 4434.....which is not half my Stylepicker count (like in your case)....oh well, it'll probably turn out to be obvious later. Again, thanks....

Yes, that is normal. Many styles are listed multiple times in the stylepicker. That is intentional, since there are differen types of lists, and they overlap.

I have used the multiple listing feature a lot. I find it very handy. Thankfully, I have found that I have more than enough styles.
