Having purschased and used tech support from both I would tend to say it doesn't matter. Only difference is Sweetwater only supports if for 2 years whereas PG will support as long as you own it.

Both companies have excellent reputations.
I believe it should not matter. I doubt that PG Music would not support their product just because you purchased it from one of their licensed distributors.

but if you buy from PG all your files are available for download for ever. not sure how sweetwater work. they are a great company but i for one like having backups on someone else's servers not on a disc.

Sweetwater sends you a download access code or serial number and you register and download from PG Music, your downloads are in your account just as if you bought the product direct. Pricing is sometimes set by the maker and sometimes not. Sweetwater may have a special arrangement that allows them to sell at a lower price? There could be any number of reasons. If it is apples to apples as far as the package you are buying then by all means take the lower price.
This is how Sweetwater works for almost all if not all of the software they sell. They do not host the downloads, you are buying a serial number or access code that the manufacturer provides to Sweetwater to sell.

Me personally if the difference is not to great I send my hard earned cash to the source. This supports development of the product. I have purchased probably 10 times at least through the years. I always purchase from PGM.
Now that doesn’t mean you have to. It is just my $.0000002 cents worth

I purchased my first version of BIAB from Sweetwater several years ago because Sweetwater offered a significant discount. I've purchased numerous software and hardware products from Sweetwater over the years without regret.

I also buy from PGM every time. Just providing some input to how sweetwater works as there was a post about not being able to have the files available at PG MUSIC.

I've purchased numerous software and hardware products from Sweetwater over the years without regret. ditto! However, I was never aware that they carried BIAB. Who can argue with saving a few bucks. Seems like a no brainer.
