OK, this problem seems to be too random to focus on just the drums, or just one certain style. I have gone thru 25 to 30 of each style 2 times, picking the same ones both times, & moving on to a different one in between (first Country, then Jazz, then Rock, etc etc) and in most every style there are glitches on either the drums or the bass at random points. It seems to be focused on the rhythm section. These are just loading the demo tunes. The glitch's SEEM to appear more when switching between the A to B sub style compared to the B to A sub styles. This also applies to the 4 part styles. This test was done on a fresh install of XP Pro, SP2, on my system with only the Delta SC Drivers. BiaB is the only program besides the OS on the system. I started with the 289 version and added the updates one at a time. The glitch's stick in the same place until I regenerate the offending track, and then it might play back fine, OR the glitch might appear in a different place, but it never re-appears in the SAME place as it originally did.....very strange. Also, when exporting to a .wav file and placing it into WavLab & zooming, the glitch looks just like a cut off loop point....and yes, I do have a lot of experience with these! I went thru the related drum folders, just pulling random files & listening to them, and can not find the problem in the tracks I checked. I can only assume that this problem is happening AS the track parts are being arranged / generated. Bottom line it is annoying, but NOT life threatening! This version with all the Real Tracks/Drum/Styles is just SO far ahead of anything else out there it is not even funny. My main question now is this....is ANYONE ELSE experiencing this, or is it just me? Jump on in and let us know! ===== My system specs.... It's been a problem ever since realdrums came out. I first complained about it two years ago, and then also a year ago with the 2009 upgrade. And it happens exactly as you describe. I also know a lot about loops, been an acid user forever, and as you say the loops themselves are fine, the problem is they are not always assembled correctly and you end up with the double kick.
Very easy to see it if after you have rendered the track you then pull it into an audio editor, I'm using adobe audition here. And also very easy to fix after the fact in the audio editor, I just cut out the double kick out and replace it with a good kick, so for that reason it's not a huge deal for me.

This is what I figured that I would end up doing, tho it is a pain. My problem is that it is happening on the Bass track also.....I wonder if it has anything to do with the lower frequencies? The snare double hit is way less frequent than the kick or bass....hmm....
Thanks for you reply BlueAttitude, it IS appreciated!

It is not reproducible here, at the moment. I've been running only the Delta card on XP SP3 since the beta testing started. The program debugging got way too deep and complicated early on to try subbing soundcards this go-round <G>.
I'm wondering about the core realtrack data's health on the disk, maybe defragmenting them might help, worth the shot, as I do recall something similar happening here that a defrag cleared up. And it was a HUGE size disk that windows of course reported as not needing defragmentation.
Worth the shot IMO.

Well, from experience I can tell you this - It is still a lot less editing than would need to be done if you actually recorded the drum tracks! At least using any drummers I have access to. Always an errant hit here and there ..
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome Make your sound your own!

Hello jscpro,
Did that small patch make the drum track on those three songs better? Or did it not help at all or make it worse. I'm talking about just the drums on those three specific songs.

Andrew, there was no change after applying that patch, but then again I could not get the exact same glitch after re-generating it either...is there anything specific that you would like me to do? I have some down time in the studio at the moment, and I am willing to help out if I can. I am not a programmer, but I can follow directions OK (or so the other half tells me! Mac, I am using Piriform Defraggler on this clean install because it is far less intrusive that Diskeeper Pro 10. I did defrag before & after the OS & BiaB HDD install, do you think that I should defrag the individual folders themselves & see if that helps?

I use and love piriform also.
Defragging just the folders with the RealDrums and RealTracks in them, selecting the "put larger files at end of disk" option in Defraggler works for me.
