First, I love that the developers at PG released these features. You all are awesome! Question though. Now that the ending can stretch to allow for the natural decay of the instrument I would like to re-generate a song that I created in BIAB where the abrupt ending disturbs me. Here is dilemma. I love the entire arrangement and do not want to change anything with the exception of the ending. I know I can freeze instrument parts, but how do I get BIAB to only regenerate the last 4 measures without regenerating the whole song? Is that possible?

Welll, that would be simple in RB.

Yes, highlighting a few bars and regenerating just those vars is possible in RB. But if you need to play back that song in BB, you can't save as a BB file (.sgu, .mgu, etc.) from inside RB.
You can still do it, though, by doing a mixdown to stereo wav file in RB and then placing that song on the single Audio track in BB if live performance using BB is the end requirement.

Thanks Mac,
I kept a copy of the BIAB file as an archive for any future mods I would like to make. I recall highlighting a couple of measures in one of my exercises to test the "generate" feature and it sounded like the whole song was reworked. I will try again first creating a backup of the original BIAB file. Logically, it should work. Let me confirm the steps with you to be sure I was doing the correct steps if you don't mind.
1. I highlighted the measures to be regenerated.
2. I clicked the Play button.
I was not concerned about a particular instrument or track in that exercise. I was trying to learn how to modify a section of measures in the song as a whole.

I don't think that BB has the capability to do that. You get an entire track regeneration regardless of the highlighted area. At least that's what I got. Might have to revisit that.
If you do get only the highlighted bars to regenerate, please tell me what you did, step by step, that would be awesome.
I know RB can do it, though.

Nope, I could not isolate the generate tracks function to a specific highlighted series of measures. It is a bummer in that when you find a portion you like and another where you don't you have to lose what you like in the potential of getting the other section to play what you want.

BTW, what ever happened to the 4 measure ending? My RB still shows 2 measure ending.
