Greetings and happy new year.

Yes I have some chord progression tunes built with 2009.5 that do not scroll properly with 2010 build 292.
That is, its not possible to scroll to the end of the tune or on playback B&B starts at the begining and displays the chords its playing in an overwrite mode on the screen after it gets to the bottom edge of the screen.

Also some tunes that were unfrozen are now frozen and cannot be unfrozen because this option is already clicked in the play menu. This seems to be linked with the above.

Any body else having this problem?. If not I'll send an example to support.

Hi Frank,

Some questions...

* What type of computer, ram, and operating system do you run?

* Do you have plenty of free hard disk space?

* What installation-form of BIAB did you buy (DVD or USB drive)?

Regards,
Noel

I've noticed the same thing, I need to try and test that with the window re-sized and with it full. Even in fakebook mode the pages don't change fast enough at times, and I have the top end computer.

I need to change from Vista 64 to Windows 7, I hate giving them my cash....

And I just blew $200 bucks on a mic..Mac told me to. (dangling my preposition on purpose..) Next he's prolly going to make me buy a new car next...LOL.

Ps. I have to anyways, I swear it's my last car, the Van has lasted 12 years...and I drive way less, that Van went to Vancouver twice, the Gulf coast twice, and Key West twice. 250,000 kms. Yikes. I want a car with a CD player and I had 5 kids at home when I bought it, down to the last one...anyone need a 19 yr old maid???

Only runs for 2 months a year here. Right now there's 4 inches of fresh snow on top of the ice on the road. Hit the gas and it spins around 3 times. Snow tires on a front wheel drive car at least. Probably need a high end Subaru. Black Escalade, nope, says 'dealer' here. I need a economy job for 2 people with room for gear and luggage. My son just bought a Hyundai Tuscon SUB. Leather heated seats, nice ride.

Dedicated Dell XPS Vista 64 bit, 6GB memory and Intel i7 920 with 700GB hard disc for PGMusic and three other packages. All of PGMusic transferred from portable HDD direct to the PC hard drive. No changes since B&B 2009.5 until 2010. 2009.5 worked perfectly on my large number of backings. 410 GB only used on the hard drive..

No, something got corrupted after the update(s). Most files are OK but a few have the problems described. No sweat I'll just redo them but I mentioned here to indicate its not , I do not believe, computer type or system related.

Frank,

When you put BIAB on your hard drive, did you go through the installation process described in the Readme First.rtf file located on the USB drive?

Hello Frank,

I haven't seen that happen. Please send us a file that has the problem to support@pgmusic.com, and hopefully we'll be able to duplicate it. Please refer to this forum post.

Oops. I've deleted the scrolling file. There was only one. Never mind I'll report any further instances if there are any.

There are however several files that have apparently been converted to a wav file ?? Note that the word wav does not necessarily appear in the file title page as a wav file (e.g. filename_wav.mgu but just as filename.mgu) The Unfreeze option is clicked on in the menu. I tried to "freeze" option just to see what would happen it says that the file is empty and whether you want to regenerate the file. If you answer yes then this message ends up in a loop until you say No. No other options available of course to enable an unfreeze. Its weird thing I'm sure these files were in unfreeze mode before 2010.!!??

Hello Frank,

It sounds like your tracks have been rendered to the audio track - is the audio track color blue? In version 2009, this feature was in fact called 'freeze' - in 2010 we refer to it as 'rendering song to audio track', since 'freeze' is a much better term for the new freeze feature. You can undo this by going to the Play menu and clicking 'un-render song from audio track'.

Spot on Andrew!. Yes this was the problem- I couldn't work out why B&B was saying in a yellow message that the tracks had been rendered to audio track. Doing as you sugested solved the problem.

To others who may be reading this I didn't quite explain what I meant in my previous post with
"Note that the word wav does not necessarily appear in the file title page as a wav file (e.g. filename_wav.mgu but just as filename.mgu) "

B&B does not do this but it was my method of indicating that the saved file was in the old freeze mode (ie a wav file)
And because it was not included I couldn't figure why it was a rendered wav.

By the way those guitar compilations of both the new Memphis and Country boogie are absolutely superb. The clean clanging of the stratocasters takes my breath away on my sound system. Fabulous.

Thanks again.

Cheers F
