Monterey ..will biab be able to run on this os when available ?.

The 2021 version of Band-in-a-Box is not yet officially supported on Mac OS Monterey. We are still testing it and so far it has been going well. You likely would be able to install and use the program, but there may be some issues still with compatibility. Here are the current requirements for Band-in-a-Box 2021 on Mac computers. We haven't confirmed any problems that are specific to the Monterey OS (compared to Big Sur). There have been some reports of the Save As dialog being wider than the screen on some systems but we haven't duplicated that issue yet. We've used Band-in-a-Box on a few computers upgraded to Monterey in-house and it is working fine so far in our testing. That said, it is not in our official system requirements yet. I would expect it to be added soon.

BIAB 2021 Audiophile is running great on my iMac Pro over Monterey 12.2.1. Mine is an Intel Mac, however.
I'm waiting for 2022 before installing on my M1 MBAir.

It will not run for me on an upgrade install to 2020 on an Intel Mac. Says it cannot use CoreMidi, and will not even boot past that. The dialog box cannot be dismissed, and the app has to be force quit.

This turned out to be an older MIDI driver -- removing all the cruft resolved the Core Audio issue. I had Leigh Smith's Midisport driver. Very good instructions on how to get rid of that, here. I'm waiting for 2022 before installing on my M1 MBAir. The new version for Mac typically releases around late spring to late summer, although it has been out as late as September before! Glad to hear 2021 is running great on your machine.

Likewise, no issues with BIAB 2021 Audiophile and Monterey 12.3.
A for MIDI, I no longer use any MIDI device that does not support CoreMIDI. Likewise, my interfaces all support CoreAudio.
