I was trying to build up a track with a lot of guitar changes, there are all Direct Input so they fit together better with an FX added DI-mix-Ev-120.mp3 It worked pretty good but it was a pain to build up. The pic below has an always on top window that lets you still access bars to highlight/play/adjust mixer/choose track. When a bar is selected it will instantly show what instrument is there and how many bars/beats it goes for on the selected track. I can simply change to another instrument at the bar position, set how many bars/beats long. Widescreen

Try building the guitar changes with Custom MultiStyles you design with each MultiStyle substyle having a different unique guitar you've constructed with DI+Fx. You can place the Part Markers where ever you want an instrument to change out by setting the changes with Part Markers and rearrange them at will. A song can have up to 24 different Part Markers and each Part Marker designation has an a/b section. There will be 48 guitar variations that can be mixed and matched throughout your song.
I analyzed your mp3 and gif and see what you're doing and suggested a simpler and "less pain to build up" technique.
The technique I explained has zero affect on using the Multi Riff Feature. I guarantee what you did took longer than modifying a style to accommodate the different instruments and directing them with Part Markers that I did over your chord chart.
"directing them with Part Markers that I did over your chord chart" are you assuming the each instrument must change on beat 1 of the bar ? You see in the Audio Edit window you can select beats from>to to generate if you want to generate an audio RT from the Edit menu.

No, but apparently you are assuming instrument changes on beat 1 of the bar. Show me how Part Markers are affecting the beats in Multi Riff window or From>To regeneration of an audio RealTrack from the Edit Menu in the Audio Edit Window.

While you can add the instruments using Multi Riff or custom MultiStyles, a more efficient way may be to use the RealTrack Medley Maker and Song Form Maker to lay out the Chord Sheet and edit those generated tracks for the regions to come before or beyond Part Marker sections with Multi Riff. Plug-ins and Fx's work normally with tracks using the RT Medley Maker.
If you redirect your path to the Medley Button rather than Multi Riff, you can select any RealTrack and place up to 10 RealTracks in the Medley Maker sub-mixer per BIAB Mixer track in any order you want them to be in on the track. Direct Input should work for all the instruments in the Medley Maker sub-mixer. I tested with the Hold button and it worked as expected.
There's a setting in the RealTrack Medley Maker to select the sequence for the instruments to change to the next on the list. Part Marker is one that's on the list. Others are Chorus, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32 and Whole Song.
The c/d (for display only) selection is recognized by the RT Medley Maker and activates a change to the next instrument in the list. On the Chord Sheet, Display Part Markers do not create drum fills or a/b style changes or direct MultiStyles. They are perfect for this function.
By changing Chorus to Part Marker in the top box on the RT Medley Maker Dialog, you will be able use the 'Define c/d for display only' Part Marker selection and use Part Markers that won't activate a Style change but will allow you to use the Song Form Maker and arrange the instrument changes any way you choose. Normal a/b Part Markers will make changes to the style. Only one 'c/d for display only' is necessary and will activate the Song Form Maker repeatedly where ever it's placed on the Chord Sheet.
You can regenerate the Medley repeatedly without losing any instruments. It works the same as a normal single instrument RealTrack generation. Regenerating the whole track with sections made using Multi Riff and all of the Multi Riffs are lost and have to be generated again. Any changes made with Multi Riff have to be made again manually.
The Song Form Maker can be used repeatedly and undone or returned to the original Chord Sheet layout with a click of the mouse.
I tested Repeats and 1st-2nd endings and they functioned as expected.
Multi Riff can be used on any instrument section of the Chord sheet just as you're currently doing. Multi Riff should work before and after the section boundaries. While the Medley will work repeatedly and generate the Part Marker sections, you may have to redo any Multi Riff or other edits you made again.
I got 1 pic here that does it all, that's what computers are for, to make things easy, even easier than RealBand, not for long winded, outdated, antiquated workarounds. Why do you think Biab and RB have been stuck in the past for so long ? is it a baffling mystery ? Shouldn't you be splicing tapes still rather than using Biab ? The good thing is you can stay in the past here not matter how easy things get Band-in-a-Box® Version 2009.5 Build 288 Update (20 MB)
People are often easily trapped. And tell yourself that this is life. You should learn to adapt.
I think in addition to adapting, you should also allow yourself to be flexible. Hands are used to hold things and write, feet are used to run. If you have to become hands to walk, feet to write. It will definitely be a painful process.
I haven't been here recently. Because I found a product from NI: Maschine When it comes to Maschine, many people think of machines. After my research, that's not the case. Maschine software is great even without hardware.
Much. Then open it with Maschine and you can see how they are edited. You can also edit your own. Of course, you can't modify chords like band in a box.
It's not an ad, I do think it's good. Share it here. I didn't give up on band in a box either Because band in a box can automatically generate music for the first time to give me inspiration.
Also, after I use maschine to make the architecture, band in a box can generate a lot of elements for me.
I said so much, just to say one thing, music must be flexible. . .
