I am going crazy with this next roadblock to my project completion...
I create a new song in 4/4, it plays just fine with a 2 bar ending.
However I want the song in 2/4. So I change the bars to 2/4 using several different methods, the first by clicking the time signature in the song description.
The second method I tried at the suggestion of PG Support was change the time signature via the Bar Settings so I tried that too.
Regardless of what method I use, the two bar ending plays but doesn't resolve, it just stops dead after two beats in the second bar.
The ending I hear in 4/4 is a 4 beat ending so I tried changing the 2nd bar of the two bar ending in 2/4 to 4/4 but the same thing happens. I also tried changing both ending bars to 4/4 and again, it plays but doesn't resolve.
I already contacted PG support which says it works fine according to them but I don't know if I am chatting with technicians or musicians. However, I know I know what I hear on my PC so I know it isn't the same ending I hear before I change the time signature.
So either I am doing something wrong or BiaB is have a stroke with 2/4. (FWIW - I also don't get satisfactory results in 2/4 with Micro Chords.)
Thanks in advance for any assistance or confirmation I'm not crazy would be greatly appreciated!!
In the meantime, just do what I did, open a new song (make sure it is in 4/4) and listen to the two bar ending.
Change it to a 2/4 song and listen to the two bar ending again and see if it sounds the same or correct to your ears.
I don't think you can attach a BiaB song file to a post in this forum, but you can upload to a file sharing service such as Drop Box and then post the link.

Well, I just tried an 8 bar song with a 2 bar ending and then changed the song to 2/4 time and it generated a two bar ending with 2 beats per bar. I wouldn't call it the best ending I've ever heard, but it was identifiable as an ending, for sure and stopped in the correct place.
I used function key <F5> to set the song to 2 beats per bar.
This might depend on the Style you are using, which is?

I get a 2 bar CONTINUATION of the song after the last bar of the song in 2/4 but it is far from what most musicians I play with would call a proper ending.
It doesn't resolve to the tonic or any appropriate degree of the scale as expected with most styles, it just ends and aside from the time signature it sounds nothing like the 4/4 ending. It sounds more like a bunch of rookie musicians that DON'T know how to do an ending.
This leads me to believe BiaB can't handle two bar endings in 2/4 or maybe can't handle 2/4 in general.
Even Micro Chords don't sound so great in 2/4 placed on quavers on measures with no chord on the first beat as opposed to the same thing in 4/4.
I also just did an experiment and an got an equally atrocious 2 bar ending in 3/4.
I guess it 4/4 for everything which sucks quite frankly, or try to make my own endings and/or use a fade...
I got confirmation via email from Support that since the endings were recorded in 4/4 time, they sound awkward in any other time signature so I'm not crazy and didn't do anything wrong.
The issue is going to the development team and I also mentioned that I'm also of the opinion that MicroChords & pushes don't work sound very good in any time signature except 4/4 so maybe they can fix two problems at the same time.
In the meantime I'm making my own endings for stuff NOT in 4/4 and incorporating a fade out which will have to do for the time being.
Thanks for listening & responding and I'm open to other suggestions!
Yes, I would agree that everything is recorded as 4/4 and only the first two beats are played. The first two beats of a bar usually don't sound like the music is coming to a completion.
One trick would be for them to use the last two beats of the bar for 2-bar endings.
I supported your wishlist request.
