I wasn't rooting for you guys but you beat the US today fair and square 3-1, knocking us out. You were a better team.

Agreed. They play defense like junkyard dogs. Every pass was contested, they got to 50/50 balls faster. Wish the boys could have gone further into it but these things are about the best teams making it to the final.
When Covid first hit I got REALLY into soccer and Rog helped me learn the rules quite a bit. I had barely watched soccer before.

We used to write music together - now we just talk soccer all the time! Once Eddie understood the Off-Side rule. I knew he was hooked. I'd like to think you're right about the final Eddie, but I'm not confident.

I'd like to think you're right about the final Eddie, but I'm not confident.
That off-side rule is hard for some to comprehend. I played and coached soccer/football many years ago so I know about off-sides, especially since I played left wing! Another rule that caused a couple of major discussions between parents and the ref was the advantage rule. Some thought that every foul must be called regardless of who had possession of the ball.

That was one of the best lines on Ted Lasso so far. He screams at a ref "HOW WAS THAT OFFIDES?" And then he whispers "No really. How was that offsides? I don't really understand the rule yet."

I said at the start it would be England and France in the final. Let's see how good I am. So Eddie, it's England v France after all, but in the quarters, not the final. France are going to take some stopping, but if we can beat them I think we could go all the way.

Japan vs. Croatia starts in one hour. Brazil vs. South Korea in the late match at 20h00. beIN Sports France is broadcasting the matches in HD and in 4K. The 4K broadcast is amazing, very bright with vivid colors. It makes the HD version look dull and gray in comparison.
