Here is our last submission to the forum for 2022. Happy New Year Few truly understand what Nikola Tesla— history’s greatest inventor — meant by his cryptic reference to “if you knew the magnificence of 3, 6 and 9, you would have a key to the universe.” I went to a Mathematical Grammar School and flunked math at age 13, so I can`t explain it... but I do get the staggering genius of that man. Here`s a rocking tribute to start the year. Vocal, lyric and backtrack by Robert Cordrey. Robert & Scott, this song has amazing written all over it. You brothers in creativity are certainly a good fit. By no means am I familiar with this kind of music, it is such an unusual concept and so well played, sung and put together it just drew me in. If I remember correctly I think I hear influences from Zappa, Captain Beefheart and King Crimson. Well done, Tom

Happy New Year Scott,
Like Tom, I'm not familiar with this style of music, but I sure thought it was a clever write. I really liked the effects you had on this - the delay on the guitar and how well you do those voice echoes in particular. I also thought that was a great title, it just made me think that I had to hear what this was about. Neat song.

Hey guys, great job. How lucky we are as a civilization that every once in awhile someone like Tesla is gifted with a brain that is wired for seeing things the rest of us can't. It's kind of nice to have motors and X-ray machines at our beck and call Kudos for your creativity in writing this.
https://soundcloud.com/user-646279677BiaB 2026 Windows For me there’s no better place in the band than to have one leg in the harmony world and the other in the percussive. Thank you Paul Tutmarc and Leo Fender.

I don't know a lot about Tesla but from what I've heard, at the very least he deserves a tribute song. So here we have it. I thought it had a cool groove to it and especially liked the signature lick in the beginning. Nice work, guys!

Hi Scott C,
It is really a beautiful tribute to this great man that was Nikola Tesla. The guitar playing lends itself wonderfully well to the lyrics. It's very well done. I enjoyed it. My best wishes for the new year.

I`m pleased that some listeners are more familiar with Tesla than I was;the shock of realising my ignorance was the main shove to get some lyrics down.As for the style, the influences listeners are hearing are interesting... I was actually looking for something eastern european rather than the almost-Bollywood demo track I sent to Scott. Thankfully he heard some cool riffs in it to make it rock. Thanks for your listens and comments!
Robert

Happy New Year, Scott & Robert. I give this one a 12 --next in the progression of the mathematical title. WOW! This is terrific. Robert, your vocals are perfect and the lyrics are excellent. I love the choices of bg vocals. Tesla was surely one of my favorite human beings. He is a great example of what our world would be like if it was about doing things for each other rather than worshipping the value of money. Man, your guitar sings in such a glorious way, Scott. You remind me of Slowhand Eric. Each note has the perfect expression. So good. So good.

On the first listen, I thought this was too strange for me, but luckily on further listens this turned out to be a very intriguing piece both from the musical, the electric soundscape and the lyrical point of view. Nice tribute, Tesla surely was a creative inventor, but your creativity shines very bright also. Scott's guitar bring electricity and a memorable riff. Indian elements add ancient mystery. Robert's lyric together with his vocal and enjoyable backing vocals strengthens the limitless sublime Spirit Level trademark. "forget about Elon", good reminder Instruments are cleverly chosen, the 60-70's feel is strongly present, I guess I have to listen next to The Mothers Of Invention Great ending. Janne
