OP GHinCH Expert Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 1,492 Schleswig-Holstein, Germany	Hi, I have a problem here that I have not encountered on the forum yet. Certain songs contain notes in the melody line that continue way past their designated length when played in BIAB.The latest example here is "Accentuate the Positive.mgu" in the style J_Basie2.sty. (No, I have not made that one myself, I don't know where I got it from, and I don't remember the original file name.) The last note of the second measure, a 1/16th B-flat continues for the next 30-something measures. It is also a visible line in the respective RealBand track. How can I get rid of this unwanted ad-lib and still play that song with that melody line? OP GHinCH Expert Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 1,492 Schleswig-Holstein, Germany	I've done some analyzing. It is not the B-flat. It is the preceding G. It is a sequence of four 1/16-notes: G-flat, G, G, B-flat. The G seems to stay on forever. But more likely it is triggered to on and of by following G-notes. I have not yet figured out, exactly when it is turned off. When off, it is turned on by any played G during the first chorus. From the beginning of the first repetition (the second time through) the strange effect is gone. Graham Martin Expert Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 824 REDLAND BAY, Qld., AUSTRALIA	A few suggestions, if I understand the problem correctly: 1. Click the 'Melody' pull down menu. Select 'Utilities'. Select one of the 'Eliminate Note Overlaps'. or 2. Ensure you are in the 'Editable Notation Mode', Right click the offending note. Select 'Edit Note'. Check the 'Duration', and type in the correct the length of the note. or 3. Use your mouse to Delete the note and then enter it again. Enter the four notes again (swing 8s prevented me to enter four notes in a triad) Change the style back to swing 8s. Many thanks.
