If you are missing your Grand Piano, one has been located on a sandbar in Florida...

Look ma, no MIDI.

Sounds like me. The cold I work up with this morning is a nice touch....

Very interesting.

I was not the kingpin at Fire College where some guy who went on and on about a wee island being so perfect. We were on a lake and it was about 80 feet off shore, a rock a tree, a few ferns. His bed, dresser night lamp and picture from the wall ended up there. He thought they were renovating until he got a tray and his supper and we gave him the seat of honour. I thought he'd lose it right there, red faced....looking at his room perfectly replicated, bed made military style, uniform laid out. Ok I did it, with help.

So I wonder if some soul told his significant other (Wow I'm getting this new speech eh?), how great it would be to sit out there and play La Mer (either version). And the wish came through...LOL.

Or it's art. But I'm wondering if plunked down there what I'd play.(

You thoughts on repetoire pieces? Ebb Tide? Stranger on the shore a la Aker? Ok Anchors aweigh in....

In the florida keys. On a bar. I think it's art. Or the navy has something planned involving guns. I think I can hear a bsharp. NO wait that's the sea.

Imagine.

Notes gets a boat, a generator, and TV crew. Free Advertising. One bar blues. Catch a wave. Sax on a grand scale. Notes notes makes sand piano sound better bar none, music in the key of 88, almost largo. I pine for that big key ...

I can think of more than one used piano salesman who would row out there, get the darned thing and pass it over to the poor technicians for a "quick going-over" (and a couple of wedges driven into the crack in the soundboard...), a bit of scratch-stick and piano polish and that doggone thing could end up on the showroom floor next week!

At full pop.

Caveat Emptor,

Interesting how that kid put it there as an art project and someone else ended up with the National Geographic front page picture. Great minds . . . . as they say.

Funny how there seems to be two stories explaining it being there ..

Yesterday I read it was left from a video shoot, and today some teens say they took it there.. not sure which I believe. Maybe the kid wants the piano so by saying he put it there, now he 'has to take it back'.

The mystery deepens

I only heard one story about the kid using it as an art piece. In fact, he was just being interviewed on CNN just now. I didn't catch what he was saying because I had the tv muted while recording here, lol.
