I am using BIAB 2009.5 (287)
I have been having trouble recently with songs opening with volume settings of zero on all instruments. They were not saved that way, at least not intentionally. It happens on many songs not just one. The Chorus and Reverb are also often set to zero, and the pan is often -63.
Save settings (alt-F2) has save settings checked for volume, pan, chorus, reverb, as well as save current melody harmony, thru harmony, soloist, melody patches and mixer settings,
Also the preferences overides are all checked.
It seems to be a recent problem, but I have been unable to determine any sequence that might have caused it - such as when the song was last updated, played, copied to backupetc.
I suspect I have got conflicting parameters set, but can't find any suggestions on the Forum, or the FAQs that appear to be relevant.

First try a reboot of the computer.
If that doesn't solve the problem, try, inside BiaB under the Options menu, Return to Factory Settings.
There are two buttons under Return to Factory Settings, you may have to try the 2nd button down, which also resets soundcard and MIDI synths.

I am having the problem of two differnt computers, my base unit, and a PC used for performance. The primary source of the BIAB files is a USB drive with 'Briefcases' on the two PCs.
We never had a problem with this configuration until sometime late last year. It has been our method of keeping things in sync for about 3 years. Both PCs are rebooted regularly, and at least the laptop has been reset to factory settings at least once. The problem is not predictable so it is almost impossible to tell if any fix has 'worked'.
I am getting the no volume situation of files that have not been updated in months, and then on files that were working last week, as listed in the last modified date.
The problem "looks" like BIAB is ignoring the settings and reassigning Volume, Pan, etc. since these settings were OK at one point. The trouble is that we cannot actually determine what the stored settings are. We know what BIAB is giving us. We need to look into the actual saved file to determine what is actually there.
I suppose it could be the USB key, but I am not getting any error messages, and the drive is used only for BIAB files.
