Thoae are some rather common abbreviations for the fake chords, dave, often found in Jazz fakebooks and the like.

Along with the two given, there is the little TRIANGLE placed after a chord letter, which indicates "Maj7".

A little circle as for the diminished chord but has a slash thru it indicates the "Half Diminished" chord, or the min7b5, same thing.

BiaB has a setting for showing the JAZZ CHORDS that uses these abbnreviations instead - one way to copy a fake chart from a sheet that uses the abbreviations might be to set your BiaB to read out in the JAZZ FONTS for chords and those abbreviations will apper on the BiaB Chord Grid and Lead Sheets instead of the longer ones. Also useful for practicing the use of those chordname abbreviations to get the hang of it quickly enough. Simply change your BiaB to that readout for sessions with your BiaB practice songs and the learning curve should be greatly reduced.
