Hi All, I used Audio Chord Wizard to make a chord progression from a new song I am writing. I sent the results of the chord wizard to BB and and told BB to keep the Wav File also. Now BB scrolls the chord progression bars and plays back the Wav File. But I can not add any parts or use Styles to head the chord progression played in different Styles? Did keeping the original Wav File lock the BB File? Do I need to export the Wav File from BB and then import it back in? Does BB 2011 have a tool that will try to read or lift a melody from a Wav File? Thanks Happy Composing TeachYourselfSinging

If you look at the style, you will see an "X" next to it showing that the style is disabled. Click on the style and enable it to make your own arrangements. You can mute the original wav file by right-clicking on it and muting it, or deleting it completely under the "Audio, Edit Audio" menu.

Hi Jford
Ok, tried the above, BB let me switch styles, but only the Wav File plays back. And even pushing Play BB does not make any tracks or make any sounds,. Still just the Wav File playing.
Thanks. Any other ideas?

If you haven't RightClicked on the Audio track tab and selected MUTE, it may just be that the Audio track is still playing back and overpowering the Style file's track selections.
Audio should be muted and finally should be killed after you ahve everything just so, to prevent it from playing back at the same time.

You may also want to try importing the wave file into RealBand and using the Real Tracks to "add" parts to the original song. I believe the chords get deciphered when importing into RB, if not, I know you can use the current wave file in ACW there.
