hi
when i play my wind controller i cant hear what i am playing it gets recorded and it shows up and it plays back correctly what do i have to do to hear what i am playing, just another one of those thing i have lost from my memory thanks for any help
this is in both BIAB and Realband

Hi jazzband,
If you are using a DXi synth for MIDI playback, you need to use an ASIO audio driver, and have "ASIO Always On" checked. This allows real-time MIDI to be played through the DXi synth.
Opt. | Preferences | Audio | Audio Driver | "ASIO Always On"
Also, you may need to select a patch on the Thru channel.

thanks blake for your help i did what you said sorry had no effect still no sound atall as i try to record or just play along must be something else i missed

You need to describe your settings in detail in order to get any useful help.
For example what synth are you using with your wind controller? Is the accompaniment played by BnBox the same synth or a different one?

This morning Realband was ok i could record without problems but not on BIAB heres the settings
OS Vista pack 2 with 4gb memory audio and midi-Tascam 122L
input driver-Tascam122L-output driver-tascam122L usevst/dxicoyote WT new edition-asio always on- synth card-coyoteWT thanks for any help

i have loaded my ultra plus pack and run it and i can use my WX5 without any problems may be i will be able to check what the differace is

Whats the bitrate set at in the Tascam 122L?
BiaB is 16 bit, only. RB can do many different bitrates. (You mentioned ASIO always on).
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

Hi Dave,
If the MIDI (or audio) device connects via USB, it is important to connect the USB device *before starting BiaB* - or the program may not be able to "find" it.
With BiaB completely closed down, not just minimized, connect any USB music devices first and wait for the OS to recognize them. Then open BiaB and it should be able to see and select and use the device.

hi Mac
ithought the best idea was to test the WX5 on my desktop computer which has the XP OS with creative sound card and it worked strait away no problems atall so this morning i did what you surgestred without any change so would you think the equipment i am using has a fault you shoud be able to connect and play which i can`t thanks for your imput

Check your MIDI settings inside BiaB, make sure the device input is highlighted.
If all else fails, contact Support directly, especially if you can use the hotline and have the computer plus everything involved right in front of you when you make the call. If the phone support is out of the question for you, use the email Support line.
