got BIAB pro 2011 just last month......how do i know if i need updates or already have all the updates in place?

Hi vishnu - There is no automatic system or email notification (as far as I know) to do this. You must 1) know what build you have and 2) check PG Music Support to see the latest build. Also, the latest build is always posted at the top of this forum.

In addition to the sticky post by PG Music, normally one of us will post here about an update. Sometimes we even beat the company to the news.
vishnu, since you are a new user, allow me to anticipate your next question. You will often see that a new build is marked "beta". That is a standard practice here for naming the updates when they are new, and you can be reasonably sure it will be fine to download and install it. Anyway, when you install a new build, or a new version, BIAB keeps the .EXE for the old one in a backup folder, and you can always revert (although I have never needed to).
