I'm watching the 2011.5 video tutorial, and have noticed that when demonstrating the Mixer, the options (patch, volume, panning etc) turn pale blue.
Mine doesn't do that.
Should it?

Am I missing something ? What is the difference in the new mixer window of 2011.5 and the Volume - Pan - AReverb - Tone - Bank - Reverb already in 2011 ????

I cannot explain it, but the 'new' mixer is some old stuff in a new way. I have almost had to load every song I play and mess with it, it seems you have way more control. Other than that the incremental improvements to Realtracks and the latest additions make this quite worthwhile in my opinion. I'd add humble to that but I'm still working on the book, "Humility and how I attained it." A work in progress...

I don't know if you realize, those controls are still in 2011.5.
There is one new feature from the mixer that is interesting, and that is the combo panning. With one control, you can widen or narrow the stereo mix of all instruments that are not panned in the center.
There may be other new features like that, but even if there are not, like John, I really like the easier control the new mixer gives you.

Me too. I was kind of down on it a first, but I've flipped. It gives easy control, great visible awareness and feedback, and it sits in the upper right of my screen, out of the way.

The new Mixer is in response to many Wishlist requests. Some seem to prefer having the Mixer view rather than the separate Spinners on each Track and it does indeed make mixing the song to your liking a lot easier and faster.
