Yeah rharv. I am waiting for the studio to cool down some. It was 97 up there at 6pm. I had the HVAC guys here yesterday to fix some ducting that fell apart and while they were here we investigated the 2nd floor woes. And DUH the dampers on the vents were closed. I used to have the whole 2nd floor shut off before I got back into music and put the studio up there. To the point where I closed off the doorway that led up there with a frame that had visqueen sheathing on it. I didn't want to heat a 2nd floor I never went up to. And I mean that literally. I had not been up there in 2 years. So it never dawned on me that the dampers in the vents were still closed. Now it's going to take 2 days to cool it off with an exhaust fan in the window while the AC runs. Oh well.... I will play with the export when I can. I am glad to hear this though!

Eddie!

If you send me your email address, I'll send you a free beta version of this stylepicker search filter - I just added it today. Please send the email to beta@pgmusic.com

The search feature allows typing of multiple search terms, including
stylename,memo, example e.g. bossa
Artist name (e.g. Oliver), - style must contain playing of a RealTrack by Oliver
instrument name: e.g. Guitar
Other keywords like RealStyle, duo etc.

So if you type
Bossa Oliver Terry Guitar

you would get all Bossas with Artist "Oliver Gannon" and artist "Terry Clarke drums" where there is guitar.

Have Fun!

That sounds great, Peter. Will it be in an upcoming build, or as part of the next upgrade release?

PG Music as a whole is responsive, but this is the first time that I have seen Dr. Gannon immediately tailor a solution to an individual's request. It is a huge functional improvement and vastly enhances the value and utility of the product.

Try getting that from Brand X. I was impressed to begin with, but this is beyond anything I've seen since being on these forums.

Richard

P.S.: I assume this will be in the next version ("Over 51 new features!") I'll try to save up for 2012.

Thanks, Peter. After a few days posting that request on the wishlist forum, the new feature is prepared. There are not many companys with such a response, that's definitely great!

Thanks a million Peter. I'll wait for the update to be posted, but just wondering will it be available for biab 2011 or only 2011.5?

This has been a good discussion and I have picked up a lot.

By the way, it would be great adding the same text filter to the "Soloist picker" window. Actually, when I want a RT soloist on the "solist" track, I must searching the soloist on the "RT picker window, take note of its #" and search it manually on the soloist track.

I will be testing this within the hour. JUST for you guys I will brave the 95 degree heat up in my studio.

Pity party starts at 8, bring you own bottle, your own food, your own chairs... and in fact have it somewhere else. I don't want to have to mow.... it's going to approach 100 here again today. And yes, Canadian friends, I am in farenheit country.....

Testing is done. And I beat it up really hard, searching for very minute search strings and it found every one of them. It's awesome and I can only guess that Peter will put it out as a patch soon because it does speed up the style search. Want a Brent Mason solo, type in Brent. Finds everything with his name. I tested with waltz alone, then country waltz and it took the combination of two keys and found it. It's great and I am sure you will see it soon as a patch.

I should also add, Matt, that in testing I put in search strings that had NOTHING to do with music, like "sofa", "window", "chair" and a couple of curse words JUST to see if i would get a false match. It worked flawlessly.

rharv can't help it. The fumes from the bridge to Canada overhead seep into the very pores of pourdur'iners. Air-o-mad-ic hi-drow-car-buns take the blame. That's yer hi-end engineering.

Yes it is a chore. Epecially if you are constantly re-doing songs you've written and "lived" with what came in a previous ver.! I started with BIAB in ver.1.2 and I am finally getting what I heard in my head in the 90's. I am almost to the point where I don't know if I can handle the next ver.

For rharv, I tried searching for "that school up north", and as I thought would happen, the program did not find anything for this Ohio State fan.
