Problem with Real Band 2011.5 (build 1,2&3):

Would appreciate others confirming this . . .

Files created with lyrics in BIAB, then opened in Real Band do not display the lyrics.
The event list shows all data transfered with the exception of lyrics.
Lyrics seem to be getting filtered out somewhere.
No problem with sequence files, just BIAB files.

Thanks,
Don

They normally appear in the Notation and Big Lyrics windows.
The only thing the Big Lyrics window displays now is chords, no lyrics.
I can open and display lyrics only with previously saved sequence files.
BIAB files that used to open and display in Real Band, do not display lyrics since the 2011.5 update.

I reported this to tech support . . .

They see the same problem and have added it to the "bug list" to be fixed.

I begin in the Notation Window.
When I'm finished, all the lyrics appear in the Big Lyric Window.

For instructions on how to do this, go to the help menu index and search for "Lyrics".
Then look at "Note Based Lyrics".

I start all arrangements with lyrics in BIAB, then continue in Real Band for completion.

This problem stops me in mid stream.

Hmm . . . speaking of streams . . . hiked the mountains the other day, saw 8 guys carrying a refridgerator (large)up a steep, rocky three mile trail for use at a trail hut. To add to their grief, it was raining and things were pretty slick. One slip and the guys in back would have looked like mashed potatoes. I tried the usual puns, but no one laughed. You know, "Who's got the extension?" "Could you stop while I get a cold one?" "Don't chip the enamel." "I was just there, they said they wanted black, this one's white." Okay, not LOL, so I let them pass and continued down the steep slope thankful for the two walking sticks and a small camel back pack. Sure coulda used some ice . . . Sheesh.

Yeah i have used that method before, but I don't remember transfers to RB. I must have done something wrong.

Hello,
I add lyrics into the memo window in BB. They don't always fit, without making the window larger than wanted. In any case, after I've made the song file in BB, I copy the lyrics, open Real Band, then open the comments (paper clip symbol)in Real Band. Then paste the lyrics into it. It actually has more room, so more lyrics can be included without messing up the real estate. Not exactly the answer you're probably looking for, but it's very easy to do it this way. Hope this helps.
Griff
