OP Pat Marr Veteran Joined: Oct 2008 Posts: 8,074 Winston-Salem, NC	Money's tight here, and I have not upgraded to 2011.5 yet... I'm wondering if this version allows the user to cut and paste an entire text file of lyrics into the lyrics window? I know there are workarounds for displaying lyrics, but none of them end up with lyrics that scroll with the song. bebopfive Apprentice Joined: Jul 2007 Posts: 100 Arlington, Texas	This would be a major issue solver for me also...I have watched every thread about lyric entry with great interest...still no changes. It is so tedious to enter a melody, then attach the lyrics to the melody. I need the changes because I play bass with BIAB and I don't normally enter a melody line because I play it on my horn or sing it. The Big Lyrics window is great for me because I do lots of songs and take requests (never was very good at memorizing lyrics)... And, if you don't do a particular song very often the lyrics tend to "fade" ...Ha! PG Music, please consider giving this area some attention. When the lyrics scroll along with the changes on play back ... the gig is so much easier. Thanks!! Ken Blessings! Ken Hicks

Rob Helms Veteran R Joined: Aug 2006 Posts: 7,853 Pawling New York	Pat i find that i can either find a .kar file and eliminate all the tracks except the lyrics and add what i have to it, ot use that file to start with, or last but not least, it is really not that ahrd to type them in once i get started. Lenovo Win 10 16 gig ram, Mac mini with 16 gig of ram, BiaB 2022, Realband, Harrison Mixbus 32c version 9.1324, Melodyne 5 editor, Presonus Audiobox 1818VSL, Presonus control app, Komplete 49 key controller.

Phrasing in a song can be rather unique. So it is hard for any word processing algorythm, to "know" what you want. Last edited by Robh; 09/20/11 02:27 PM. OP Pat Marr Veteran Joined: Oct 2008 Posts: 8,074 Winston-Salem, NC	after experimenting for months with adding lyrics to the lead sheet, adding them to the comments window and even adding them by means of other programs, I finally just bought a good music stand and a notebook with plastic page protectors. Now each time I learn a song, I print the lyrics, add the chords and any comments such as "drop D capo 2" I know, I KNOWWWwwww... stone age. But at least I can make the font size large enough for my old man eyes. You can cut and paste a whole song into the lyric screen, and it assumes that each space marks a new note. Since there are always passages of music with no lyrics, the song tends to get out of synch (you run out of words before you run out of song) But you can keep the timing right by adding spaces during the instrumental passages. One reason I decided to go with hard copies is for flexibility. If I ever perform songs recorded in a different DAW, I can keep the same method of reading the lyrics.
