Very well done, especially about the the BIAB DAW Plugin options and the part at the end about recycling the files in the Drag & Drop folder, and how to set up each DAW for that.
BIAB 2025 Win Audiophile. Software: Studio One 7 Pro, Swam horns, Acoustica-7, Notion 6, Song Master Pro, Win 11 Home. Hardware: Intel i9, 32 Gb; Presonus 192 & Faderport 8, Royer 121, Slate VSX, Adam Sub8 & Neumann 120 monitors.

Looking forward to viewing. I understand RealBand and Reaper, but what are those other two? Anyone use them?

One additional comment re dragging into Sonar.
The example shows a direct drop but it appears that the start of the audio does not quite line up with bar 3 the way it probably should. This means that probably the tempo in BIAB does not match the tempo set in Sonar in the example shown. It is best to always set the tempo in Sonar before drag-drop from BIAB so that the tempos match and therefore bar lines also match up.
The reason for this is that if you now start to put in a melody or any other instrument using a sample library in a new midi track, without matching tempos, then the notes will not match up with the timing of the imported tracks from BIAB. This is a problem if it occurs since then its very difficult to sync up the notes with BIAB tracks.
Cheers.

Frank, one thing I do is drag the MIDI track(s) first, which establishes the tempo in SONAR.

Thank you for producing this video / demo, Peter.
Learning the techniques outlined in the video will save us tons of time all by just Dragging and Dropping tracks from one product/project to another.
The video is very well made and very easy to follow.
I can foresee this video getting a lot of hits from us as we learn from it.
Very powerful stuff presented here !!
Thanks again,
Mark

Peter,
Excellent video, picked up some really good application points watching it. Paused loaded BIAB & RT and tried as the video played.
Again thank you,

Matt, Drag-dropping a BIAB midi track alone into my SONAR 8 (studio version) does not change the tempo in Sonar to match the song in BIAB. A midi track transferred in this way simply runs at the Sonar default tempo of 120 if you leave it set at that value irrespective of the BIAB tempo value. That is, it plays the midi track faster if the BIAB tempo is less than 120 and slower vice versa. This is the case for a single midi track or a “soft synth” (midi plus audio track) with an EW library sample.
Setting the tempo to match BIAB is no effort of course you just type in the value. So that is what I do regularly for real tracks plus the Sonar "soft synth" option for midi/audio with library samples.
Cheers F
