If you connect the device via USB, be advised that any USB sound device must first be connected and recognized by the Operating System in many cases before BiaB can "see" it.
In other words, hookup to USB and wait for the OS to recognize it *before* starting BiaB.
If you forget, you must close down BiaB completely and then connect, then start BB up again.
At least, that's the way it works here.
If no joy after trying that, visit Options->Audio/MIDI and check the selections for MIDI, then hit the Audio button on lower RH side and check Audio selections.

This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track. AI-Notes converts polyphonic audio—either full mixes or individual instruments—into MIDI that you can view in notation or play back instantly.
