Hello Earl,
This may not answer all your concerns, but if you have BB 2011.5, you can at least have some nice midi tracks along with Real Drums, without having to hardly think about it. First, you have BB, then you have the second program called Real Band. (I'm sure you are past that point already.) Anyway, make a total midi file in BB, open Real Band and find the midi file in the BB file folder. Open it into Real Band. Then, be very patient, you will see that it's changing the midi drums to Real drums. Your cpu will be maxing out. Wait! It will be done soon. When the number drops down to 4 or 5, it'll be done. After that, you will be able to play the mixed file, and the drums will, almost always be a perfect match+ for the midi they replaced. If you're like me, you will find the new file a great improvement over just a total midi. So much so that you will be more than ready to knock out a bunch more tunes. lol! Hope this helps. By the way, if you can't hear the drums as much as you'd like, turn 'em up in the tracks view. If they're still not loud enough, right click on the drums volume control slider. Type in the number "4" and within a second or two, you'll have drums so loud, you'll have to move that slider down a tad. Hey, every day I'm practicing with my electric guitar and singing my files. Once you get it all edited the way you want, it'll be a total kick. Good luck!
