Nope....but I love the style and the sound. He is exceptional...some might say those right-hand nails would get in the way of good finger-style. My playing tends more
towards the plectrum players...Farlow, Kessell, Smith...I wish!!
My "modern-day" hero is Pat Metheny who can play ANY style impressively. Love his sound...and I've had his GR-303 Roland Midi Guitar-type, for a decade. That's why I also own a fleet of synths to play thru!
Glad you liked the post...sometimes it's hard to get any comments cept negative!

Nice playing on a great sounding instrument, just hope he does not get that hair tangled in those 27 strings!

Great video GDaddy. That instrument seems like a cross between a geetar and a harp.

I'd be so confused I wouldn't know which string to pluck!

Ahh yes.....many choices out there...

Mine has always been Metheny's:

PIKASSO GUITAR: 42-string guitar with three necks has been popularized by jazz artist Pat Metheny and can be heard on his song "Into the Dream", and more recently, live renditions of "Are You Going With Me?" and on the albums Quartet, Imaginary Day, Jim Hall & Pat Metheny, Trio->Live, and Metheny Mehldau Quartet (The Sound of Water), his 2007 second collaboration with pianist Brad Mehldau. The guitar can also be seen on the Speaking of Now Live and Imaginary Day DVDs, and at the oddmusic.com web site. Metheny has also used the guitar in his guest appearances on other artist's albums and on a Jazz TV show, Legends of Jazz, where he referred to it simply as 42-string guitar. When he was asked if wasn't that guitar called Pikasso, he said "...the woman that makes it calls it the Pikasso Guitar."

Won the jazz instrumental Grammy in 1987.

About that time, I was playing Jazz on a Gibson L-5, when I was invited over, by the Librarian of the Chicago Options Exchange, for a nightcap at her Pad. A wonder that we arrived there in "two pieces" on my 750cc Honda. I was on my third double Beefeater when we decided to "split" the scene at "The Sign"... of the Trader, famous "watering hole" for Chicago's naughty brokers...
She laid some of Pat's "Are You Going With Me??"...and...we eventually did!!!
"Nested" down in San Antonio for six months...

HAVE YOU HEARD???
