Why does the Juke Box player in BIAB stop after a few songs? Sometimes it stop after 4-5 songs, sometimes I can play more before it stops.

I have a map with frozen Realstyles demos I try to play in Juke Box in BIAB. I like to do it this way because its no delay beetween the songs.I can quickly listen to many styles before choosing one I like. I have unchecked the box for lead-in in Metronome options. I listen only to 8 bars of each song before the next song play. Fantastic. I hope I can get it to work. The problem is that the playing stops after a few songs.

I don't know if the problem had to do with my PC or with the program. Will more RAM and/or SSD disk solve the problem?

Any comments?

I use this feature once or twice a week on gigs and have never had that problem. The only thing I may be doing differently is starting/playing the songs from a "favorite" list. Not sure if you are just opening a folder and hitting juke box play or using the playlist that has been saved as a "favorite" file?

Roger,

We haven't seen that problem. Perhaps it is stopping on the same song each time?
Try making the smallest folder that you can that has the problem, and email the zipped folder of songs to us at beta@pgmusic.com, referencing this thread, and we can try to duplicate it.

I had this problem when I tried to play only a few bars of each song. The problem goes away if you play at least 12 bars. It is something to do with the time it takes to generate each song. You can also fix it by freezing every song so there is a shorter generation time.

I run into this problem all the time, with every version of BIAB, including 2011.5. I've got many play lists saved for the Jukebox---about 20 songs per list. Some lists will play all the way through, while others will stop after a particular song. Trying to restart Jukebox will only repeat the same song again, where it stopped. It won't advance beyond that point no matter what.

Yes, this is an irritating feature of Jukebox. If you stop for any reason in the middle of a song list there is no way to restart without going back to the beginning of the list. This must be a problem when using Jukebox for a live performance.

Yes, there sees to be some sort of problem when using Jukebox to preview songs here also. It will stop dead in random places. I have sorted songs, made new folders with songs added one at a time, to no avail. Sometimes seems to be a random event. Been going on since ver 2010.5 here.

Going to try previewing at the 12-bar range as Tony suggests.
