Wave file in the right place on the timeline, but you hear the audio at a different time is likely due to use of a software synth and a wrong Latency setting if using MME Windows Sound drivers, or could be the buffer settings in the soundcard's ASIO control panel need adjusted if using ASIO drivers.
You are likely hearing the imposed lag time that tries to compensate for the time it takes your computer to generate MIDI sounds with the softsynth. Most more modern computers, you can find a setting that is faster that should make this work.
More info as to your PC, OS, chosen softsynth in BB, etc. can maybe shed more light.
