Hello Everyone,

I trust you're gearing up for the ol' Labor Day festivities. Been catching some cool 9/11 stuff on Discovery Channel as of late...man...what a tear jerker that STILL is...and with the projects going on there in NY, it is a testament to the spirit of man (though flawed), BUT by God's Grace, many...many...many skilled, dedicated, and honorable men and women have been working diligently...transforming not only that 16 acre plot of ground where so many innocent lives were called out of this world...but also helping to heal those who are still in need...by way of the beautiful (and poignant) memorial that is now there.

Amazing.

Anywhozers:

Look, I'm having a problem sorting this out...

I have an Appendix of Real Track Sets (1-121 in my case). But I'm not sure how these things are organized in my bb/.

I seem to have Styles 0-77 too.

And then...there's a list of Real Track Styles starting with folder named "40" to "121".

Just trying to FINGER this out.

Like, with the Appendix, how can find any style set in question?

Is there a correlation? 1-39 are what "old" or something? They don't seem to be indexed in any way.

Guess I'm just confused about Styles...and Real Track Sets period.

Call me stupid I suppose.

I mean what is the easiest way to peruse all these goodies?

Appendix says one thing, the bb/ says another.

HELP!

Granted, I have SO much stuff...I can get lost in seconds here...I LOVE this program.

Regards,
Eric

Under the Help menu, "What Addons do I have?" may be helpful starting point where you can see what is installed and also what is not installed.

Mac,

Thanks, but I think you mis-understand. Allow me to try again...

I'm just trying to "parse" them out at will.

I know what I have...just a little confused.

For ex: If I wanted to "ausition" say a tune from RT Set 10 (All Blues [shuffle]); how might I do that?

Or, duh, just go into the Style Picker GUI, and select Blues...and have fun? (which, incidentally, it will house/contain ALL Blues Styles I presume, regarless of "SET"?).

See?

Apparently...there are SETS...and there are STYLES.

How can I differentiate the two?

Der?

It is Friday, I claim no brain power today.

Eric

At the top of the Stylepicker window is a button to Play Demo Song.

You can hit that and load the pgmusic demo song for any style that is highlighted, then you can listen to it. Also a great way to investigate the entering of stuff as well, since those songs were created by the masters, as it were. Watching BB work as those demo songs play can open up new things to try in your own works.

And with the advent of BB2011.5, there is an addition to the Demo Song button - if your computer is hooked up to the Internet, you have a second option of having BB go to pgmusic dot com and retrieve the .wma file of the demo song from their server and play it back. This way it won't overwrite anything you may be working on at the time by loading the internal demo songfiles.

Hi John. I'm not sure I understand either, however, at the top of the style picker window is a drop down menu called, "Filter(Yes)". Click on that and a new window opens with all kinds of filtering options. You can select genre's, tempos, 8th/16ths, Swing/Even, etc. When you click on the OK button then the only thing that should show in the picker window is what you chose.

Hope this helped.

One way to audition RT sets, is to load songs from c:\bb\RealTracks - demos\RealTracks## Demos folder, which has songs and styles from that RealTracks Set. (where ## is the RT set #)

Have Fun!
