Suddenly I don't seem so bad, right guys?

I was stunned to the point where I had to read that post 5 times to make sure I was really seeing what I was seeing.

Gotta be honest, if you can afford to build a cabin for your retirement, I am less than sympathetic when you find it appalling that you, a customer, have to pay like the rest of us, also customers.

I have found this whole BIAB community to be nothing less than compassionate, understanding, wonderful people who allowed some hothead in Ohio his rants and understand that they were a product of other frustrations and pressures. And that doesn't even factor in the level of writing talent and musicianship here.

There was a guy here in my area named Phil Palumbo. Phil was a great sax player and overall entertainer. He played Vegas for years and had a jumpin' night club here in Ohio. Back in 1986 I was playing the "big" room when his band was playing the little room. Every break he would come over and listen. One night he came over to me and said "You play that horn pretty well young man but if you will allow a suggestion, you are blowing too hard." And I smiled and said "Hey old man, you calling me a blowhard?" When he died 14 years later I had still NEVER heard him say anything more negative to a musician, no matter how much they sucked, than "Just keep working at it. This takes time." And I promise you he heard some bad ones.... I miss Phil.

That story just seemed to fit here. To call a company greedy because they charge their set price.... no comment.

Just curious. Are the people building your cabin giving you any breaks?
