It would be great if the mac version had all of the features that the Windows version has. For example the Mac version will not automatically transpose each chorus. This is a very nice feature. I would love to use it. Can we expect updates that will bring the Mac version up to speed?

Lots of stuff they could not or can't do in the Mac version. It's my understanding the people at apple did their best to ensure 3rd party stuff could not work better than the band from the Garage. That included changing the o/s so that the compilers no longer worked on 3rd party stuff.
Perhaps someone here should tell the folks at Mac they have an investor to make a 10 million buck Mac music program and they want to donate 1 million to Steve's memory, just give us the latest stuff and all the compilers and source code. Right. At any price it won't happen.

Hi,
Apple give al the development software to write mac programs. Cubase on Windows and on Mac are more or less exactly the same. Maybe in the future the Mac version of BIAB will be more like the Windows version.
Having said that I prefer using BIAB Mac version even though it is missing some features. BIAB Mac links to Garageband very effectively. I do have an older windows version of BIAB on my Mac under Bootcamp but I never use it these days.

If you had a choice as a new purchaser, would you go Mac or PC? I primarily use Mac, but have a Dell Laptop running Windows 7. I really like the Mac UI, but want to get the most features as possible. Any ideas?

Go PC. The interface is the same. There are just more features.
My understanding is that for years there was no compiler available for the Mac o/s, and when it was released it didn't do everything right. Or some such thing.
Once the o/s is almost linux that should resolve over time, but the history dictates that the much larger pc market results in a pc version that is richer and has more features.
Once it's a matter of the same code doing the same thing on each platform then the process of having the same program on both machines becomes reality.
Until then you can always figure out how to drop the end result into your garage...
