If you thing it is hard doing the US to Canada thing you should NOT attempt the opposite. Just a simple car trip into the US by an aging white guy without a tan, turban, accent, can turn into to an interrogation in a small room with border security staff that lasts hours. They view us as coming to steal jobs, security threats, and all sorts of absurd whacko ideas. I have some very good post secondary education, and I had a sticker on my vehicle that said Certified Arson and Explosion Investigator and a member of the National Association of Arson Investigators....that put me on some sort of watch list. I try and travel with other guys and hunker in the back seat hoping they do not type my name in the computer.

It is now so bad that our entire band composed of guys who have an average age of 70 refuse to cross the border, we always get one car or another held up, and often there are military people in fatigues with m16 automatic weapons. That is odd seing as you can leave Greece and drive to Sweeden or Ireland and never cross a border that has any stops......

But we canucks have beaver hats and kill seals and probably have an axe in the trunk, and we can go crazy at any moment.

So 16 trips by 40 guys into the US got cancelled last year, and our band is losing a whack of cash we donated, and that started some sort of recession in Michigan, who still will take our garbage to build ski hills but makes it almost impossible for the average guy to go to the sporting goods store in Port Huron.....oddd that...
