After I create a band in the box song, I click the solo button for it to make a solo. It does.
The problem is that when it does, it changes the whole style!
How can I get it to solo in the same style I originally had?

Do you want it in midi or RealTracks. I figure Realtracks doesn't mess with the style.
I've not tried this but what if you freeze the tracks you want?

Many times the backing music is midi, but sometimes real tracks. (I usually go in later and add some of my stuff and take out some of the band in a box instruments. Mix and match.
But I would think that adding a solo shouldn't change the style ... that sort of defeats the whole purpose of making the style, right?

Aha, but it's always been that way.
There are more work arounds. I'll try some and report back. But many brighter light bulbs than I exist here, I used to be a whit, but lost half my wattage. Darned new fangled light bulbs with murkyou-RE: in them. Yikes. They last 20 years of normal usage, but mine burn out in 18 months...
Of course a bunch of Real Banders are going to descend and say ... use Real Band. Eh?

Kristen, it's there.
There are soloists that say the autoload a style.
There are others near the top that to not.
On the other hand there is a button on the pop up box, 1/3 down on the right that allows you to change the style or NOT load one. Check it out.

Take a closer look at the list to the LF side of the Soloist window.
Some Soloists also load a Style that is designed to work with the Soloist, others do not.
Soloists listed that also are set to load their own style are preceded by an asterisk ( * ) in the list.
If you select one and then look to the Right in the Soloist window, you should see the Instrument and Harmony dropdown boxes and, just below them, the STYLE that will load with it. There is also a way to change that when loading the soloist by using the "Change" or "Clear" buttons located there.
