Just installed the E-Pak from USB drive to computer with no problems.
1st piano real track demo I tried ... really nice, and I want to learn it.
Went to Pref - Notation - Note Names - Absolute, but the note names do not show.
This did work for me in my 2009 version.

You want to learn the piano track but need to 'see' the note names? Oh dear.
I'm no musician really, but I did teach my kids the basics (because they lack that at schools now).
It's easier if you take one piece you know in Band in a Box and then actually write in note names. Slowly erase them. Leave a few for reference. Transpose the same piece to F and G and other things and write in notes and erase them.
Repeat for Bass Clef.
Ignore the Tenor Clef, always. And that movable maniacal clef. Eschew them both.
The above line is to wind up my wife who insists I should just buckle down and learn them. NOT.

Hi Danna,
Need to clarify something -- Can you see notation for that piano realtrack?
If you can but cannot get the notenames to show, the only thing I can think of to try would be to first try rebooting the computer and see if they come back. If that doesn'd do it, then try, inside BiaB, under the Options menu, "Return to Factory Settings".
Let us know how it turns out.

Hi Mac and thanks for the reply
Notation is showing and follows along with song when I click on the piano button.
Tried the reboot and the factory reset, no luck.
When i click on the Pref Notation Note Names Absolute button, the notes sorta of flash as though
they wanted to change to show notes .... but notes do not show up.
This was Real tracks demo FTEXASP, I did try another piano demo but notes do not show
in that one either.

Only RealTracks with a green underscore have any notes. There are some styles that never got transcribed. So you will hear the piano but cannot see what is playing. The underscore refers to the radio buttons Combo Bass Guitar Piano Melody Harmony Thru etc. perhaps not in that order. So if the button is green it's realtacks and if it's underscored it has a transcription.

Right, and don't be confused by the length of the underscore. There are two: a half-length underscore means there are RealCharts, and that's sufficient. If it is a full-length underscore, it adds Tab but still has the RealCharts.

John From a post I made a few days ago .... the answer I got was that all piano real tracks have real charts. As stated earlier, I can see the notation. It is the "Note Names" option that is not working for me. In fact the answer was from Peter Quote:

Yes, for piano they all have RealCharts, unless they are Rhodes comping (Rhodes soloing do have realcharts). For guitar, they all have RealCharts. For Bass, some. Soloing RealTracks: All have RealCharts.

On my system (which is the whole she bang updated) the note names do not show up on the piano track, but do show up on the melody track.
I suppose you could copy the entire piano track to the melody track.

Looking back at my 2009 version, the piano tracks did NOT show there either.
But some parts did show note names.
Guess I still do not fully understand the real track vs midi thing.
The suggestion of "copy the piano track to melody track" allows
the note names to show.

We should be able to get the note names to show up on any track, not just the Melody and Soloist - will add that suggestion to the list.

That's awesome. I spent at least 10 seconds to come up with the paste it in the melody track idea, but it's actually not a good solution.
Another potential 50 new features! Makes me smile.
