As long as we're not working for PG Music, we have no idea what the Mac vs PC sales are, what the relative costs and profit margins are either - so as far as I am concerned, this argumentation will not get anywhere. What is clear, is that at some point in the past, PGMusic thought developing/porting the software for the Mac would be financially interesting. Whether their projections were realized or exceeded, we don't know.

PG Music's argument is that although there are some features in the Windows version that do not exist in the Mac version, Mac users have some advantages in other places (there are a few posts on the site with this argument), so in their view, the two products are generally balanced.

I moved from a PC to a Mac (2009 was the first one) version, as I have moved platforms. I love BIAB and think it is a fantastic program. I would be happier if new versions incorporate some of the items that people keep asking for and which are already present in the PC versions. It seems the wish list is not really (or no longer) taken into consideration. I've upgraded to 2012 (yet to arrive), but thought long and hard about it. Personally, I have no need for the new guitar sounds/effects (the licensed bit from IK); I finally went for it for the real tracks and basically to generally update the program. Although my take on the guitar sounds may not be typical, I've not seen a request for this on the boards (perhaps I have missed it) or maybe PG Music got inundated with emails requesting that feature. On the whole, 2012 looks to have little actually updated, with the main difference from the previous year being licensed from outside. Keep in mind that I've yet to use it and basing this on the PG descriptions of what's new.

@John: You are a great contributor to the forums, always willing and happy to help everyone out. However, the constant Mac bashing is pointless and counterproductive. It would be nice if we just could concentrate on this great product, with positive inputs, instead of bashing platforms, equipment or whatever else. I hope you don't mind me pointing this out and I hope I am not out of line.
