Can you switch from a RT part to a MIDI part in a song ? (In Instruments)

If you mean have both on the piano track, I don't think so. Best bet is to create a Midi part and copy it to another unused track such as Soloist. Then use Bar Settings and mute/unmute each part where desired. Thus your RT piano would be on Piano track and Midi piano would be on your Soloist track.

Ok, I will try that.
Later. . . I created a solo with solo channel on piano. I can see blue notes playing on the bottom keyboard, and pink ones on the top keyboard, but if I "solo" the soloist track, I hear nothing. Everything else plays ok. I checked the soloist page and Yes-solo is on etc. What did I do wrong?
Later yet: I am not hearing any Melody or Soloists on any songs now. They are lit up Yellow, and the top keyboard is playing Red notes. I returned to factory settings. . . I don't know what I did now. . . When I SOLO the tracks, nothing.

If using the VSC, open its control panel via MIDI/Audio output window and set the VSC control panel to Volume view, make sure all faders including the Master fader are turned all the way up to the right. There is some kind of known bug where the VSC gets turned down on us occasionally.
*Don't know if you are looking to see RealInstruments on the piano keyboard at the top, be advised that they cannot do that, only the MIDI parts (or RealInst parts that can now create their own notation) can do that. There is no data for the piano keyboard to play on any RealParts that don't include the notation option that came about in BB2009.
If the Real part is in Green and there is an underline beneath its name, it has a corresponding MIDI notation to it.

I will check my volumes. No RT's, it was MIDI and the tracks were YELLOW in color.
