For those to like to (or need to) navigate the UI and/or perform functions in BIAB using the keyboard, here are two suggestions for future releases that I'd like to see and would find helpful:

1. Currently, when navigating by note using control+right/left arrow, the highlighted measure/chord does not folow the changing of the notes. I would like to see the chord highlighting or bar at which BIAB is pointed move as the one moves through the notes.

2. ?Similarly, if one navigates by measure using the right/left arrows, the note to which BIAB points does not move with the measure/bar. Thus, if one moves by several bars using the right/left arrow and then starts to move by note using control+right/left arrow, then the notes start playing from the original bar which BIAB pointed to and not the bar to which one has moved. It would be nice if the bars/measures could be made to stay in sync with the notes and visa versa.

3. Finally, the radio buttons do not work in BIAB as they do with standard Windows navigation keyboard commands. Here is what is supposed to happen:
a. Radio buttons pertaining to a related group of selections should be grouped in a single tab stop.
b. Hitting tab once should bring you into the group from the prior element in the dialog and into the group of related radio buttons.
c. Hitting tab from within the grouping of related radio buttons should bring you out of the group of radio buttons and into the next element in the dialog (outside the grouping of radio buttons).
d. Hitting up and down arrow within the grouping of related radio buttons should only cycle you through the radio buttons in that group and NOT move you outside the grouping.
e. Similar for shift+tab working in the opposite direction.

Currently, BIAB acts like this:
a. Hitting tab on an element before the group of related radio buttons brings you to the first radio button in the group (good).
b. Hitting tab again brings you to and selects the next radio button in the group (not good)
c. Hitting tab sequentially moves you through and selects successive radio buttons within the group until the last button is selected and you are moved out of the group and onto the next element in the dialog.
d. The same thing currently happens when using the up and down arrow keys - thus, they act the same as using the tab key (which is not correct according to standard Windows keyboard navigation keystrokes).

THe current behavior of BIAB in radio buttons makes it impossible to select the desired radio button in a group using keyboard navigation.

Hopefully these issue can be addressed in future releases.

Thanks.

Hi Pete,

These are really better suited for the BIAB Wishlist Forum, suggest that you copy and paste your post there, for that is the place where PGMusic developers are most likely to tabulate requests such as these and then make decisions on possible implementation in the future.
