In order for render to work, you have to allow the rendered file to be created in the same folder as the BiaB file. Wierd things happen is you set the renderater to deliver the file to a different folder.

I notice that a number of people have made a comment similar to the above in recent times. For the record, I'd just like to say that this has not been my experience. I do a great deal of rendering with BIAB using folders of my choice and it works flawlessly every time.

Regards,
Noel

Like Noel I have had no problems rendering to other folders.

I find it a pain as band in a box defaults to that folder once done. I usually have done each song in it's own folder with a notepad file. So 3 months later I can remember what I did. Or yesterday. As far as today is concerned I just ask my wife, she's not at work.

I've reported in the past about the bass part dropping out with rendering. In my case, only the bass track. I'm using 2012 with the maximum stuff. I send the rendered file to the same folder as the BIAB file. In fact, yesterday I made 23 mp3 files for a friend who's a solo act. Out of this group, 4 of the files had bass dropouts. When this happens, the bass part disappears about halfway through the song---never at the first of the tune. I simply rendered those 4 tunes again from the same BIAB files and they turned out fine. Something's glitchy, but I still love the program.

Hi Mac,
To reply to your original post on drag and drop.... I have got round to trying it. It will not render separate tracks, only full mixdowns. If I try it as combo for separate files I get a message saying 'cannot complete drop. no files. to view files look in C|BB|Drag and Drop.' ( I have specified that folder.) If I try it on individual files I get the same message. It shows the convertion to audio by Dxi and it highlights all the individual tracks but there are no resulting files. It works fine with midi files.

Hmm, I'm wondering if the two problems are related now, but can't think of anything to try that might shed light at the moment.

Have you tried Dragging each Inst trackname one at a time to a folder? See if that can be done...

Yes Mac,
I have done that, with the same result. I have now contacted PG Music. We will see what they can come up with.

This issue has now been sorted. Whilst I was in hospital my wife kindly purchased Biab 2012 for me. On installation all problems were resolved. Thanks to everyone for their participation and help. LFU2

Stay out of the hospital. Bad spot LOL

Where in Yorkshire are you?

I intended to get to Pocklington whilst in the UK, but had no time.

My uncle Jim was with the RCAF there in the 2nd war, and then taken on as a Flying Officer with the RAF after his 26 missions over Germany. Not bad to grab a commission at 18 years and 3 months old. (What you get for signing up when you were 17 and getting held in training until your birthday.) He's 90 a few weeks back, and has a bad back from hitting the tower at RAF Lossiemouth and being in hospital for close to a year.

We did have a grand time taking the train from London to Edinburgh and driving through Scotland though. I see the sheep they moved in to replace our family on Islay are still there, that was shear nonsense. (Cue Benny Hill)
