Hi , I was just curious why , when I open a song that I converted to a wav it says "untitled" at the top. Shouldn't it be the file name that I just opened. Also, after I have made changes to my song and I attempt to save it ,it wants to save it as a SEQ file. I create the song in BiaB, open it in RT and Edit. Save it as a SEQ, then save it as a WAV. Do the Mastering and save as a wav. I think this was the procedure that Ray Thigpen discribed in his tutorials. Am I doing something wrong?

.wav files are recognized by RealBand (and PT) as generic by design. Therefore they will be untitled when opened in that manner.
The .seq files are saved by RB or PT and those are the ones with which you can save filenames and have them reopen with those names again.
Two different formats.

Do you name the file when you save it?
Are you using 'merge to stereo wav file' or some other route?
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

Yes, I go to audio and then select merge all track to wav. I then get a message that the file has been saved with a wav extension. Then when I open it it says untitled at the top. The song is there but when I go to save it again it wants to save only with a SEQ extension. I think I will have to go back and read Rays tutorials beceause I don't think was an issue when I worked on music a few months ago.

Doing a Save or SaveAs only saves as a .seq. (You can also Save As a .mid but that is not inside the scope of a discussion concerning saving wav files.)
To save a wav file you go to File -> Wave Files... and actually EXPORT as .wav rather than doing a Save action.

You would just re-export it as Mac said
Current version uses the Audio pulldown, then re-Merge Audio to stereo wav file.
As long as all the sliders are up to full you should hear no apparent loss this way.
Filenames at top are grabbed from SEQ, MGU and SGU files, a wav file won't show the name in the title bar, but *should* show it in the track name.

Darren, .seq is a project file. All DAW's have their own proprietary way of saving project files. Once you finish your project you export it to mp3, cd audio, wav or whatever so other people can hear your work. Wav's as Mac said are just generic computer sound files and none of my audio programs save directly to wav because they don't use wav's as project files. Like you, I would hear sound out of my speakers and think, that's just audio right? Well, yes and no...
