I was thinking that the guitar and keyboard views would be much more aesthetically pleasing if they had actual fingers (attached top hands of course) playing them and not just dancing dots. Even cooler would be video snips of real fingers playing them. It could work similarly to real tracks only they are videa snippets and not audio ones that are stitched together in real time to match the notes and chords being played. This could then be applied top other instruments as well, real sax gingers, real trumpet fingers (super easy since there are only 3 valves to finger), real harp fingers, etc. The could be strung together to make real music videos, and in seconds. That would make cool videos to upload to YouTube and such and also be a great adverstisement for band in t6eh Box to budding music video creators. One could even extend this to dance and have real feet as well... but taht is a different post so let me stop here except to say that one would not need to model the hand movement that accurately (sau moving the hand from one position to another but have generic leaps where the fingers go to some nuetral position (thus limiting the size of the video files required to make this work.

One other thought... to do this with a piano should be easy since the piano doesn't move.. thuis just the fingers would move. But for morte portable instruments they may have to be secured to keep the instrument rather than the fingers from moving, but I am sure there are clever ways of doing that which should make this doable.

One more thought. For those who like the dots the two are not mutually exclusive. For one could select dots nly, real fingers only , or even both together where the dots are overlayed over the fingers so that one can see more precisely what fret ior key the finger is pressing.
