From what I can tell, it looks like they have incorporated the new non-BIAB features from RB into PTPA 2012. If you have RealBand, then I don't think you need PTPA. It seems to me that PTPA is now marketed to the folks that just want a sequencer to handle audio and midi, but don't need the BIAB song generation features. It does support RealDrums (but not RealTracks) and it will open a BIAB file, but it will only extract the chord progression, the melody track, and the soloist tracks from it. It won't do anything with the other tracks.

I've got it, because a buddy of mine uses it and we collaborate together.
