This is a two part question. One is for "manually" going to a new line while keeping same style and the others is about annotating sections for on-screen feedback. I know BIAB can do a lot more stuff than I know about so I thought I would ask if this can be done. I currently have BIAB 2012.
Currently I know where certain parts of songs can "change to a new line" by changing the style variation (variation a, b, etc).I have used this method to separate sections of a song, that is, to start a new section on a new line to make it easier to follow.
But is there a way i can "manually" start a new line for a new section without having to change the style variation?
For instance, have 13 bars of Style A to be the Verse, then keeping the same style, START A NEW LINE for a chorus of 8 bars, then START A NEW LINE for a bridge of 6 bars, then START A NEW LINE with a verse of 13 bars. Keeping the same Style A throughout.
This would make it visually easier for me to follow for complicated songs. Is this possible?

Also is there a way I can make notes for each sections to see while the song is playing?

Not that I know of.

It's possible to do this by adding "Section Text" in Editable Notation Mode. This text is limited to 120 characters. It can be viewed in Notation Mode or Lead Sheet View but cannot be seen in the Chord View. If you want to find out a bit more about it, go to help and type in "Section Text".

Well, you can manually start a new line by inserting the same Part Marker as the section you are in, but it would also produce a Fill on the Drums there. Sometimes that isn't a bad thing, though.

...unless the drum part is frozen before placing the part marker.

Well, of course you cannot change anything in a Frozen file, that's what the feature is there for!
But UNfreezing is just a mouseclick away, Unfreeze, make changes, check things, Freeze again.
I think the addition of yet another User Prompt may be in order, if someone attempts to change things in a Frozen songfile, a big "Song must be UNfrozen to affect changes" or the like...
