Just a quick one this morning: Can this plugin be used by another DAW?
I have found that some bundled vsti's do, and some don't.
Pointing the DAW to look for the .dll file doesn't always work (they're ignored).
Just wondering.

this one does work in other DAWs
(it's not a proprietary license for use only with PGMusic products)
It's my understanding that its basically the same thing you'd get if you went to the IKMultimedia site and downloaded the Ampltube free version.

Oh...thanks Pat...I haven't actually tried yet (not much of a guitar plugin guy...more of a live gear head)...but I do want to dabble...at some point...before...I...die...
Work keeps getting in the way.

Seriously, try a couple of the Direct Input RealTracks -- especially, of course, the electric guitar -- and change the Amplitube presets a few times. You'll boggle. Then you'll get this wide toothy grin....

I've found that the Amplitube plugin can also be used to spice up certain Bass as well as Rhodes Piano Realtracks, as well as Guitar Realtracks.

and as you mentioned in another thread, Mac... if a person is sending MIDI to a soft synth, the output is audio which can then be sent to Amplitube for all sorts of interesting results. (I say this to flesh out the possibilities for others who may read this thread later)
IMO, Amplitube has created a lot of new sound opportunities that can enhance everything that has been part of BIAB/RB all along. Plus, it works as a standalone or plugin to enhance your own playing.
But it won't make your breakfast. Even Amplitube has its limitations.
