first time on this forum. I just purchased BIAB a couple of weeks ago. This is the greatest music software ever! I have been searching for this for a long time. My search has been around creating backing tracks for self accompaniment. I didn't like any of the free backing tracks that are out there.
within a couple of hours of loading BIAB, I had created a real band backing track for one of my favorite Charlie Robison songs (Texas country). Perfect results although a fairly simple country chord progression.
I am thrilled.
I am still grappling with using song forms and implementing repeats and endings. I am sure it is due to lack of experience, but I get some pretty weird results when trying to convert my linear format to song form.
Anyway, glad to be a BIAB owner and user and intend to have lots of fun with it as well as create a portfolio of backing tracks for solo gigs.

Another welcome, this time from South Louisiana. Happy to have you on the forum and of course using BIAB.
Regarding the repeats etc. I have been a user for quite a few years now and have never used that feature (and many others I am somewhat embarrassed to admit) I just roll out my songs to one long run through with no repeats. Likewise I am sure you will get comfortable with how BIAB will work best for you.

There's a good tutorial on repeats, and check out the options for endings in the Tag Settings.
I also tend to do one long song, mostly because that's the only option we had for many years. A tip: if you are going to want to use the repeats and endings, get the whole song done first and save it. Then re-save under a different file name and apply the repeats and endings. This way, you can always go back.
