Multi out sound cards are getting expensive. All of my songs get mixed as stereo but then get assigned to separate outs for furter tweaking while playing. They go into individual channels on the mixer. It was suggested awhile back that Eddie, remember Eddie, use a control surface. That would work for me but I don't see that RB can be controlled by a midi control surface. Am I correct on this? I know there's support for trans port.

John,
I was the one who suggested the control surface - and it had nothing to do with physical audio outputs whatsoever. The suggestion was merely to help him avoid mixing outside of the PC then re-inputting those channels into another PC.
I thought that you mixed in an external mixer for live show usage - so that you could process individual channels with different pieces of hardware gear - perhaps a source specific (say bass) hardware compressor or EQ or whatnot.
If not - if you are using multi-outs just to mixdown, then a control surface would work for you in certain programs that utilize automation fully.
However, if I read your post correctly, it seems to me that you depend on the mixer for live playback and live mixing of individual tracks. A control surface wouldn't be of any use without actual physical multiple outputs.

Hello John,
To answer your final question; no, RealBand cannot be MIDI mapped / controlled by a MIDI Controller currently.
Thanks, Will

Scott, You are correct. I was looking to the future were I could just have a stereo out to a mixer and change things via a control surface. Can't be done per PG Staff. I bought an ESI Gigaport HD instead.
