I use a midi file i found and add RTs or sampletank to get what i want, it allows the proper drum beat far better than a RD will.
A good practice on cover tunes it to start with a midi file, that can be downloaded, process it through better samples and VSTis, the replace any tracks that are needed with RTs. Many times none need to be replaced if you use great sounding instruments.
